No weeks of waiting and no wobbly temporary. With digital scans and in-office milling, your permanent crown can be designed, made and placed in as little as 24 hours.
A crown is a cap that covers and strengthens a damaged tooth. It looks and works like a natural tooth, so you can smile and chew with confidence again.

A dental crown protects and restores a tooth that's been weakened by decay, a large filling, a crack, or a root canal. With our Next-Day Crowns, the process is faster and more comfortable than it used to be. Here's what a crown actually does, when you might need one, and what to expect from start to finish.
A crown is a custom-made cap that fits over your entire tooth above the gumline, restoring its shape, strength, and appearance. Ours are made from durable, tooth-colored ceramic that's shaded to blend with your neighboring teeth. Once cemented in place, a crown lets you bite and chew normally and protects what's left of the natural tooth from further damage.
Crowns are recommended when a tooth is too damaged for a filling to hold up. Common reasons include a large cavity, a cracked or fractured tooth, a tooth that's been worn down by grinding, and a tooth that's had a root canal and needs reinforcement. Crowns also top dental implants and anchor bridges, and sometimes they're used to improve the look of a misshapen or badly stained tooth.
Traditional crowns meant messy impressions, a temporary for two or three weeks, and a second appointment. At our Jupiter office, we take a comfortable digital scan instead, prepare the tooth, and place a temporary. Your permanent crown is crafted from that scan and ready in as little as 24 hours, so you're back the next day to have it fitted, checked, and bonded. Less waiting, fewer visits, and no goopy impression trays.
The tooth is fully numbed while we prepare it, so the procedure itself is comfortable. Afterward, it's normal to feel mild sensitivity to temperature or slight tenderness around the gum for a few days. Once your permanent crown is in, you can eat normally, though we suggest going easy on very hard or sticky foods for the first day. Brushing and flossing around a crown works just like a natural tooth.
Cost depends on the tooth, the material, and whether any additional treatment is needed first. Because crowns are usually a restorative rather than cosmetic procedure, many dental plans cover part of the cost. We'll verify your benefits and give you a personalized quote before treatment. Our financing options and our in-house dental plan are available if you'd like to spread out the cost.
If you have a cracked tooth, pain when biting, a filling that keeps breaking, or a tooth that's darkened or worn, don't wait for it to get worse. A weakened tooth can fracture below the gumline, which is much harder to repair. An exam lets us catch it in time and, in many cases, have you restored the very next day.
