Our KöR whitening system typically takes two quick visits to our Jupiter office. At the first, we take impressions and make your custom trays. You'll then wear the trays with gel at home as directed, usually overnight, for a couple of weeks. At the second visit, we finish with an in-office session to boost and lock in your results. Many patients see their teeth several shades brighter by the end.
Some temporary sensitivity to hot and cold is common during whitening and fades within a day or two of finishing. The custom-tray approach and desensitizing steps we build into the process help keep this to a minimum. If you already have sensitive teeth, let us know, and we can adjust your schedule or recommend a toothpaste to use beforehand.
Whitening is considered cosmetic, so it's rarely covered by dental insurance.
