2017 Oral Health Resolution

The New Year is just around the bend.  Many are taking the time to pause and consider their goals for the coming year.  Nearly 45% of Americans usually make a New Year’s resolution.  And unsurprisingly, the most common resolution is to lose weight, yet very few Americans give credence to their oral health and the appearance of their smile in their New Year’s goals.  Make 2017 the year to focus on your total health, especially your oral health-- not just the ups and downs of the scale.  Good preventative care maintains the health of your mouth and can prevent many of the most common dental issues.

Do:

·       Brush your teeth twice a day with fluoride based toothpaste.

·       Floss between your teeth once a day.

·       Visit our dental practice in Jupiter, Florida twice a year for check-ups and cleanings.

Don’t:

·       Over-consume sugary snacks and beverages.

·       Smoke or chew tobacco.

·       Over-indulge in alcohol.

2017 brings with it many changes.  Especially with national concerns about the cost of healthcare, it’s important to have dental coverage you can count on.  Check out our in-house insurance plan and see if it’s a fit for you and your family.  Considering that the average cost of a root canal these days is $1,000- it pays to invest in preventative care in the long run.
